The Filipino-American Association of Idaho (also known as Fil-Am) was founded in 2002 to promote civic, social, educational, cultural, and recreational activities for its members and the communities within Idaho. This way, the contributions of the Filipino and the Filipino-American cultures can be appreciated and better understood. Fil-Am is organized exclusively for charitable, cultural, and educational purposes. We received approval for the Articles of Incorporation with the State of Idaho in July 2007. We are registered as a nonprofit organization under the related provisions of the Idaho State law and our operations are conducted in accordance with applicable state and federal laws. Fil-Am is filing for 501(c)(3) with the IRS to qualify for tax-exempt nonprofit status.
